Description

Hervorragender, schwarzer und überaus kontrastreicher Abzug, in allen Strichlagen deutlich zeichnend und mit einem feinen Rändchen um die Plattenkante.
Das beliebte Motiv der Gottesmutter in inniger Zuneigung zum Kind, vor dem Hintergrund einer nächtlichen Landschaft, war schon zu Lebzeiten Dürers sehr gesucht und beeinflusste aufgrund seiner monumentalen Schlichtheit besonders die italienischen Künstler. – Verso schwach sichtbare, geglättete Knickspuren. Vereinzelt winzige Braunfleckchen, ansonsten in sehr guter Erhaltung.
