Description
Sheet 11 from the series: The Life of the Virgin. Magnificent, strong and contrasting lifetime print before the text edition of 1511. With the watermark requested by Meder for the early print conditions and before the beginning of the f-shaped defect in the corner shading at the top right, which later expands over the course of the editions. With a fine border around the margin line. – Paper with tiny, faintly visible foxmarks. Horizontal, smoothed creases not visible on the recto. Smaller closed tears along the edges. A diagonal crease in the lower right corner. Otherwise a fine impression.
