Description
Kräftiger Druck des letzten Zustands mit den angegebenen Lücken und Wurmlöchern im Stock. Mit einem bis zu 6 mm breiten Rändchen um die Einfassungslinie. “Samson tötet den Löwen” zählt heute zu den bedeutendsten Einblattholzschnitten der ersten Jahre nach Albrecht Dürers erster Italienreise von 1494 bis 1495 und bildet im Aufbau das Gegenstück zum etwa gleichzeitig entstandenen “Ercules” (SMS 105). – Winzige Braunfleckchen. Rückseitig geglättete horizontale Faltspur, ansonsten in guter Erhaltung.
