Description

Very good, cleanly wiped impression of the first state with little tone. With the outline of the candle flame and the forehead wrinkles above the student’s nose, but still before the reworking in mezzotint for the II state. With a margin of up to 6 mm around the plate. – A faintly visible diagonal crease on the verso. With an inscription in brown pen in the upper margin, otherwise in very good condition.
