Andy Warhol loved Christmas. In the 1950ies, when he was still in college, Warhol started creating a series
of christmas cards for his friends. At the time, many of his cards were featured in christmas-card catalogues
from the Museum of Modern Art, New York. These christmas cards are now considered some of
Warhol’s first artworks. Later in the 1980ies, Warhol’s cards and books were given as a thank-you to his
best clients.
