Description
Erschienen als Blatt 5 der Mappe “Anno Santo 1975”, herausgegeben von der Galerie Wolfgang Ketterer, München 1975 (mit dem Trockenstempel). Schmidt-Rottluff schreibt in einem Brief vom 25.8.1964 an den Herausgeber des Werkverzeichnis-Nachtrages Ernest Rathenau: “Den Holzschnitt ‚Christus und die Frauen‘ konnte Rosa Schapire nicht in ihren Katalog aufnehmen, er ist zwar 1919 entstanden, lag aber nie gedruckt vor. Ich fand den Stock in diesem Frühjahr wieder und kam auf den Einfall, den mal drucken zu lassen (…)”. – Schwach gebräunt, an den Ecken leichte Kickspuren, geringfügige Griffknicke, sonst gut.
