Woodcut on thin Japon. (1912). C. 20 x 24 cm (sheet size c. 31 x 42 cm). Presumably a copy from the first edition of at least 22 hand-printed pieces by the artist. Signed and titled on the reverse by Maria Marc. One of the rare early prints made prior to the edition “Der Sturm”. Posthumously signed by Franz Marc’s widow Maria.

Description

Einer der seltenen Frühdrucke, vor der Auflage in “Der Sturm”. Posthum von Franz Marcs Witwe Maria signiert. – Blatt fachmännisch restauriert. Schwach lichtrandig, Ränder leicht wellig, vereinzelte schwache Quetschfalten und minimalen Knickfältchen, geringfügig griffknickig, unten links leichte Papierunregelmäßigkeiten, verso oben punktuell montiert, dies schwach nach recto durchschlagend, sonst gut.
