Description
Ausgezeichneter, harmonischer und fein zeichnender Druck mit den Überarbeitungen am rechten Auge des Predigers. Knapp innerhalb der Einfassungslinie geschnitten, rechts ist sie noch etwas sichtbar.
Der geachtete Amsterdamer Prediger Sylvius (1565/64-1638) war zum Zeitpunkt des Entstehens dieses Porträts bereits seit acht Jahren verstorben. Er war ein Verwandter Saskias und hatte bei ihrer Verlobung mit Rembrandt und der Taufe ihrer Kinder amtiert. – Vereinzelt mit winzigen Braunfleckchen, letzte Zeile des Textes berieben. Ansonsten gut erhalten.
