Description
Bei diesem Blatt aus der Folge “A Rake’s Progress” handelt es sich um einen Zustandsdruck vor der Auflage. In der späteren Auflage ist in der Wolke über den fünf Figuren das Wort “Bedlam” in breiten Lettern ergänzt. Am linken Rand besitzt dieses Exemplar noch eine kleine, halbrunde weiße Fläche, an der die Radierplatte vom Staubkorn der Aquatinta noch nicht vollständig bedeckt war. Das Blatt besitzt Unikatcharakter und gibt Einblick in die Entwicklung der Komposition. – Leicht wellig und im Passepartoutausschnitt kaum merklich gebräunt. Sehr guter Gesamteindruck.
