Description
Mit der Folge “A Rake’s Progress” hat Hockney nach seiner ersten New York-Reise begonnen. Inspiriert wurde der Künstler vom berühmten Vorbild William Hogarth’s und er verknüpfte dies mit seinen eigenen Erfahrungen in New York. Entstanden ist eine Geschichte über die Abenteuer und das Schicksal eines jungen homosexuellen Mannes in der Großstadt. – Das Blatt vor der Auflage leicht wellig, vereinzelt mit geringfügigen Knickfältchen und im Passepartoutausschnitt kaum merklich gebräunt. Sehr guter Gesamteindruck.
