Mit breitem, pastosem Pinselstrich gestaltete Darstellung des antiken Mythos. In die leuchtende Farbigkeit fließen schon die koloristischen Erfahrungen der Münchner Sezessionisten ein. Leeke setzt die Landschaft als Stimmungsträger ein; so spiegeln die von der untergehenden Sonne wirkungsvoll beleuchteten Felsen die Empfindungen der Figuren. – Mit drei kleinen Farbabplatzungen, ansonsten von sehr schöner Erhaltung.
