Description
Ausdrucksstarke, reizvolle Arbeit in leuchtender Farbigkeit. Die Katze ist Hannah Höchs Lieblings-Tiermotiv, mit dem sie sich ein Leben lang auseinandergesetzt hat. Hier ist ein abstrahierter Katzenkopf frontal und bildfüllend in leuchtenden Gelb-, Grün- und Lilatönen sowie einem reich abgestuften Grau wiedergegeben. Die farbigen Partien sind mit breitem Pinselstrich transparent lavierend über eine zarte Federkonturierung gelegt; Akzente schafft die in unterschiedlicher Dichte ausgeführte Spritztechnik. – Verso mit Atelierspuren. Farbfrisch und sehr schön erhalten.
Provenienz: Nachlass der Künstlerin, verso mit dem Nachlassstempel.
