Description
In spontanem Strich eingefangene Aktstudie von dezenter Farbigkeit und weicher Formensprache. Nach dem Studium an der Münchner Akademie zog Rippl-Rónai nach Paris, wo er in seinem Landsmann Michael Munkacsy einen Lehrer und in der Künstlergruppe Les Nabis bewunderte Vorbilder fand. Zartheit und sinnliche Motivik der vorliegenden Arbeit erinnern stark an Akte Bonnards oder Denis und legen die Pariser Schaffensjahre des Künstlers als Enstehungszeitpunkt der Zeichnung nahe.
Insgesamt etwas unfrisch, braunfleckig und mit Randmängeln; ein größerer Wasserfleck am Oberrand; verso Klebereste alter Montage.
Mit einer schriftlichen Echtheitsbestätigung von Dr. Alexander Rauch, dem die Zeichnung im November 2006 vorgelegen hat.
