Aus: “Die Schaffenden” III. Jahrgang, 4. Mappe, Nr. 6. – ohne den Trockenstempel der “Schaffenden”. Die Nummerierung wohl von fremder Hand. Schon 1910 hatte Marcoussis Braque und durch diesen Picasso kennengelernt, schnell schloss er sich der kubistischen Stilrichtung an, aus deren Geist 1921 auch “Le comptoir” entstand. Die Aufnahme dieser Radierung in die “Schaffenden” zeugt von den lebendigen deutsch-französischen Kontakten in der Kunstszene, ebenso wie die Tatsache, dass Marcoussis in diesem Jahr erstmalig zusammen mit seinen Kollegen Gleizes und Villon im ‘Sturm’ ausstellte. In sehr guter Erhaltung.
