Description
In rascher Feder notierte Darstellung. Lhote debütierte 1906 in Paris bei den Indépendants und ein Jahr darauf im Salon d’Automne. Gegenstand seiner Malerei ist ausschließlich die Landschaft und der menschliche Körper, für sich und in allen denkbaren Verbindungen. 1916 wendet sich der Künstler der flächenhaften und starkfarbigen Malerei zu und wird Leiter einer Kunstschule am Montparnasse. An den Kanten minimal knittrig, In der linken oberen Ecke mit einem winzigen Papierverlust. Verso an den oberen Ecken montiert, ansonsten gut.
