The inside cover of the folder inscribed with the owner’s name “Hertel”. The portfolio comes from the estate of Christof Hertel (1908-1932), who was a pupil of Paul Klee at the Bauhaus in Dessau. Salzmann 47-53. Provenance: collection of Christof Hertel (1908-1932), with estate stamp on the back of the etchings and on the inside of the folder (not in Lugt); Hauswedell & Nolte, Hamburg 25./26.6.1994, lot 1442; private ownership, Southern Germany.
