Description
Die Aktstudien recto zeigen sechs Skizzen eines Knaben, der versucht, auf ein Pferd zu steigen. Liebermann verwendete sie für die Lithografie “Nackter Reiter am Strande – Pferdebändiger” von 1908 (Schiefler 79), die 1909 auf dem Einband von “Max Liebermann – Sieben Radierungen” erschien (Bie, O, Max Liebermann. Sieben Radierungen, Verlag der Firmen Bruno Cassirer und Julius Bard, Berlin 1909). Die Zeichnung verso ist eine Vorstudie zu dem reitenden Knaben, der links auf den Gemälden “Pferdeknechte am Strand” zu sehen ist (Eberle 1902/3+4).
