Description
Das Ausstellungsplakat variiert den Holzschnitt “Männerbildnis” von 1919 (Gercken 739 H). Die Krefelder Ausstellung, die u.a. Werke von Heinrich Campendonk, Emil Nolde, Oskar Kokoschka, August Macke, Franz Marc und Ernst Ludwig Kirchner zeigte, organisierte der Bildhauer und Kunsthistoriker Dr. Ludwig Thormaehlen (1889-1956), mit dem Heckel befreundet war. Drei Exemplare des Plakates befinden sich in Museumsbesitz: Stiftung Ada und Emil Nolde, Seebüll; Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe, Hamburg; Rifkind Center, Los Angeles County Museum of Art, USA.
