Description
Curt Herrmann verbringt viel Zeit auf dem oberfränkischen Schloss Pretzfeld, das der Großvater seiner Ehefrau Sophie Herz, der Kaufmann Josef Kohn (1810-1885), bereits im Jahre 1852 erworben hatte. Hier entsteht eine Vielzahl an Werken, die Herrmanns Nähe zur Pleinair-Malerei der französischen Impressionisten veranschaulicht. Mit feinen, pointiert gesetzten Pinselstrichen erfasst er die heitere, sommerliche Stimmung und die Weite des Schlossparks. Noch heute ist das Anwesen im Besitz der Nachfahren von Curt Herrmann.
