Provenienz:
Laut Angaben auf dem Passepartout aus Sammlung William Roscoe (Cat. 1816 Nr. 1303 oder 1304) und Sammlung Weld-Blundell (Lugt 2645);
nicht identifizierter Sammlerstempel “KD” verso (nicht bei Lugt).
Description
Ausgezeichneter, kräftiger Abzug mit einem feinen Rändchen um die Einfassungslinie. Im Jahr 1749 gab Zanetti in zwei Teilen seine gesammelten Chiaroscuro-Holzschnitte in gebundener Form als Folge “Raccolta di varie stampe a chiaroscuro (…),” heraus. Es wurden 30 Exemplare des Buches gedruckt, anschließend die Druckstöcke verbrannt. – Verso Papier minimal nachgedunkelt und im linken Rand auf die Sammlerunterlage montiert, ansonsten sehr gut erhalten. Selten!
