Description
Der Maler, Graphiker und Dichter Novelli war ein Schüler Pittonis. Seine venezianische Ausbildung zeigt sich bei vorliegender Pastorale mit Anklängen an die Zeichenkunst von Pellegrini und Diziani.
Das Museo Correr in Venedig besitzt eine Federzeichnung von Novelli, die in Stil, Technik und Thematik ganz ähnlich ist. So trägt auch diese Zeichnung in der rechten unteren Ecke eine alte Zuschreibung an Giovanni Andrea Lazzarini da Pesaro (1710-1801). – Die Ecken minimal angeschmutzt, oben rechts eine winzige Fehlstelle. Insgesamt in guter Erhaltung.
