Description
Laut Eintrag in Münters Arbeitsheft entstand diese Arbeit am Montag, 29. März 1943 “auf 1/2 (Bogen) Katastron”. Eines der sehr seltenen Maskenbilder mit ausdruckskräftiger, dunkler Konturierung. Die Madonna im Hintergrund lässt Münters Auseinandersetzung mit der religiösen Volkskunst sichtbar werden. – Minimal gebräunt, Ecken minimal bestoßen, rechts oben minimale, atelierbedingte Knickspur, verso an der Oberkante montiert, insgesamt in guter Erhaltung.
