Description
Vorliegendes Gemälde entstand nach Kuhnerts ersten Expedition nach Ostafrika, die er 1891/92 unternahm. Die Qualität der Malweise, die er auf seiner Ostafrikareise vervollkommnet hat, lässt eine Datierung in die Jahre 1892/1895 zu. Seine Malweise wechselt hier zwischen großer Feinheit und einem breiten Pinselstrich, wodurch eine wirkungsvolle Stimmung erzeugt wird.
