Ausdrucksvolle, im Kolorit zart nuancierte Herbstlandschaft. Begas schuf ab 1870 eine Reihe von Landschaften mit Jägern und Wild, die 1888 im “Meyers Konversations-Lexikon” als “das Vollendetste” seines Œuvres gerühmt wurden.
