Description
Im Werk Cornelis de Baellieurs ist das Vorbild Frans Franckens d.J. spürbar. Wahrscheinlich hatte er auch in dessen Werkstatt mitgearbeitet und dort viele Gemälde Franckens mit kleinen Figuren staffiert – dies galt als seine Spezialität. Er war in Antwerpen um die Mitte des 17. Jahrhunderts ein anerkannter Künstler, was auch seine Wahl zum Dekan der Lukasgilde belegt.
