Watercolour over pencil, heightened with white on wove paper. 1853 (3), 1854, 1855. Each c. 5.4 x 8.1 cm. 3 sheets signed and dated lower left, 2 sheets signed with the artist’s monogram and dated lower left, 2 sheets signed and dated on the mount lower right.

Description

Jobst Riegel schuf im Auftrag des bayerischen Königs Ludwigs II. diverse Aquarelle mit Münchner Ansichten. Auch vorliegende Arbeiten stammen aus dem Nachlass König Ludwig II und könnten Auftragsarbeiten gewesen sein. Im Unterrrand von fremder Hand bezeichnet. Vorhanden: Schrannenhalle – Hofgarten mit Residenz – Isartor – Königsbau (Residenz) – Hauptbahnhof. – An den Ecken in die Unterlage montiert. Farbfrisch erhalten.
