Description

Vorliegende Darstellung einer Opferungsszene ist ein charakteristisches Beispiel für den reifen Stil Winks, der sich in den 1770er Jahren durchsetzt. Die antiken Versatzstücke und die spürbare Verfestigung der Figuren und Gewänder deuten schon auf den beginnenden Klassizismus hin. Johann Christian Thomas Wink war der meistbeschäftigte Münchner Freskant der 2. Hälfte des 18. Jhs., seit 1769 war er Kurfürstlich Bayerischer Hofmaler.
