Holzschnitt auf dünnem Japan. (1912). Ca. 20 : 24 cm (Blattgröße ca. 30,5 : 43 cm). Ein Exemplar außerhalb der Auflage. Verso mit dem violetten Stempel “Handdruck vom Originalholzstock bestätigt” (Lugt 1782 b) und von Maria Marc, der Witwe des Künstlers, signiert.

Description

Einer der sehr seltenen Frühdrucke, vor der Auflage im “Buch der Toten”. Ausdrucksvoller Handdruck mit breitem Rand. Schwach gebräunt, leicht stockfleckig und mit Montagespuren in den oberen Ecken. Das schöne, seltene Blatt in allgemein gutem Zustand.
