Description
Guter, klarer Abdruck mit den Kratzern über dem Bergrücken, aber vor den Schäden auf der Stirn des Kindes. Knapp innerhalb der Darstellung beschnitten.
Das Blatt ist dem Format nach der größte Kupferstich Altdorfers. In einigen Details ist der Einfluss Dürers zu spüren. Die Anregung zu dem Blatt scheint Altdorfer italienischen Vorbildern zu verdanken (vgl. den Stich des Giovanni Antonio da Brescia, nach einer Vorlage Mantegnas). – Kleine Randmängel, daher alt aufgelegt.
