Description
Gérard Schlosser ist der bedeutendste französische Fotorealist. Bereits Mitte der 1960er Jahre machte er erste Experimente mit Sand auf Leinwand. Ab 1967 systematisierte er diese Vorgehensweise und seine Werke haben in der Folge eine unverkennbar grobkörnige Oberflächenstruktur. Die Komposition “tu dors?” ist eines der frühen Beispiele des Arbeitens mit Sand. Was hier noch motivisch bedingt scheint – ein schlafendes Paar am Strand – und nur partiell Anwendung findet, wird später ein kompositorisches “all-over”. – In der rosa Farbfläche stellenweise mit Craquelé, sonst gut erhalten.
