Mehr noch als bei seinen Gemälden wird bei diesem Werk mit Ölkreide und Graphit Geigers Umgang mit Farbe als Material sichtbar. Der Künstler modelliert die obere Bildpartie als dichtgeführtes, streifiges Liniengefüge, das sich zu Schwarz verdichtet. Darunter folgt weiches, wattiges Grau, das nach unten zunehmend transparenter und heller wird. – Einzelne, kaum merkliche Handhabungsspuren, sonst sehr gut erhalten.
