Description
Dem Künstler gelingt es in dieser reifen Komposition, mit nur einem Farbton das Motiv eines herabhängenden Kopfes mit räumlicher Tiefenwirkung aus der Leinwand herauszuarbeiten. Der Pinselstrich von außerordentlicher Bandbreite variiert von locker transparent bis hin zu satt deckend, sodass das Bild auch in der Monochromie reizvoll differenziert erscheint. – Leichter Abdruck der mittleren Leiste recto. Sonst sehr gut erhalten.
