Description
Feinlinig und äußerst sensibel erfasstes Bildnis der Kaiserin, wohl in Zusammenhang mit zwei 1807 in Auftrag gegebenen Porzellanservices entstanden, von denen später eines an Zar Alexander I. von Russland, das andere an die Herzogin von Montebello geschenkt wurde. Sowohl Napoleon I. als auch Kaiserin Joséphine saßen hierfür der höfischen Porzellanmalerin Modell. – Teils kleinere Randmängel, sonst gut.
