Dr. Ulrike Gärtner hat das Bild am 19.4.2011 im Original gesehen und die Echtheit mündlich bestätigt. Das reizvolle Bild ist ein interessantes Zeitdokument, gibt es doch einen Einblick in die Schwabinger Bohème der späten 1940er Jahre. Die Anwesenden hat die Künstlerin verso auf der Unterlage benannt: “(René) Clair, Pamela Wedekind, Herr Broth, Rolf von Hoerschelmann, Golch, Marion (Fürstin Schakowskoy de Brabant, Angabe des Besitzers) und ich” (wobei Bele nicht die rechte, sondern die Figur links daneben ist).
– Mit einer Knickspur unterhalb der Signatur, sonst sehr gut erhalten.
