Description
Eibner begleitete Prinz Mestschersky von 1860/1861 auf seiner Reise nach Spanien. Beeindruckt von dem gotischen Prunkbau, malte er wiederholt die auf einem Hügel erbaute Kathedrale von Burgos. Die virtuos detailreiche Darstellung zeigt das lokale Leben im Schatten des mächtig aufragenden Bauwerks. – Auf Karton aufgezogen; Papier stockfleckig und mit Resten alter Montage in der oberen rechten Ecke, sonst in gutem Zustand.
