Feinteilig und in harmonischen Farbnuancen abgestimmte Arbeit der beliebten englischen Stilllebenmalerin. 1851 war Mary Elizabeth Duffield, geb. Rosenberg, Mitglied der “New Water Colour Soc.” geworden und nahm mit ihren Aquarellen an zahlreichen Ausstellungen der Vereinigung teil. – Insgesamt gebräunt und mit altersbedingten Gebrauchspuren; recto fest im Passepartout montiert; verso umlaufend mit Kleberesten alter Montage.
