Pendants: The Temptation of St. Antony – Wooded Landscape with a Monk and a Nun in Conversation. Oil on copper. 1735 (1). C. 24 : 32 cm respectively 23.5 : 31 cm. Signed and dated on the reverse (1). Framed individually.
Description
Stimmungsvolle, liebevoll durchgestaltete Waldlandschaften mit figürlicher Staffage, die, wie so häufig bei Schinnagl, von Franz Christoph Jannek gemalt wurden. Gemälde von Schinnagl befinden sich in den Schlossgalerien von Ansbach, Aschaffenburg, Bamberg und Schleißheim, dem Rudolphinum in Prag und dem Barockmuseum zu Wien. – Mit leichten Bereibungen unter dem Rahmenfalz und kleineren Retuschen im Bereich des Himmels. Laut einer handschriftlichen Notiz auf der rückseitigen Rahmenabdeckung 1939 in den Restaurierungswerkstätten der Alten Pinakothek, München restauriert.
Provenienz: Aus südwestdeutschem Privatbesitz.
