Description
Der Titel bezieht sich auf das gleichnamige, repräsentative Gebäude, das der mexikanische Architekt Agustín Hernandez Navarro 1970 erbaute. “Casa Amalia Index” war ebenfalls der Titel einer Ausstellung in der Galerie Sprüth Magers in Köln im Sommer 2006. Mit dem Architekten verbindet den Künstler eine Vorliebe für geometrische Figuren und Formstrenge, die jedoch hier mit der Wiedererkennbarkeit der Form spielt. Das eigentliche, fotografierte Objekt bleibt undefiniert; Klärung erhält dieses Werk durch die Filzstiftbearbeitung. So entsteht eine eigene, durch Neudefinition entstandene Formenwelt. – In sehr gutem Zustand.
