Description
Monochrome Farbtafel in einem matten, warmen Bordeauxrot. Seit 1972 beschäftigt sich Marcia Hafif in ihrer Malerei systematisch mit Grundsatzfragen. In ihrem “Inventory” stellt sie konkrete Fragen zu Komposition und Material. Hafif geht dabei streng systematisch vor, ihre Serien haben etwas von naturwissenschaftlichen Versuchsanordnungen. Davon zeugt auch diese Tafel, in deren Titel die Künstlerin die exakte Nummer des verwendeten normierten Farbtons (RAL 3003) nennt. Mit den monochromen Tafeln widmet sich Hafif dem Phänomen der Wahrnehmung von Farbe in unterschiedlichem Kontext. – In ausgezeichnetem Zustand.
