Description
Charlie Rivel war der Sohn des Artisten Pedro Andreu und erlebte seinen Durchbruch 1907 beim Zirkus Lambert in Paris. Daraufhin hatte er Auftritte in Berlin, London und den USA. 1910 kam es zu einer Begegnung mit Charlie Chaplin, der ihn auf seinen Künstlernamen brachte. 1931 entstand in Berlin die spontane Nummer “Akrobat – schööön!”, ein Ausruf, der fortan zu Rivels künstlerischem Markenzeichen wurde. – Vereinzelt etwas berieben; mit Knickspuren in den oberen Ecken; sonst gut erhalten.
