Boy with Pan Pipes. Bronze with a golden brown patina on a marble base. (1950). Height c. 28 cm (without base). Signed with the incised monogram next to the right foot on top of the plinth. Stamped by the foundry “NOACK BERLIN” at the back of the plinth.

Welche Faszination das Junge, Unverbrauchte auf die Künstlerin ausübt, lässt sich nicht nur an ihrer Tierplastik, sondern besonders schön auch an diesem Werk ablesen. Mit der sprunghaften Aufmerksamkeit eines Kindes bricht der Junge sein Flötenspiel ab – noch markiert er mit dem erhobenen Fuß den Takt -, um vielleicht einen Vogel oder einen Schmetterling, der über ihm fliegt, zu beobachten. – Der Marmorsockel stellenweise minimal bestoßen, sonst gut erhalten.
