The ball player. Bronze with a golden-green patina. (1965). Height c. 52 cm. From the projected edition of only 8 copies. Signed with the artist’s rune signet on the plinth. With the foundry stamp “Guss Barth Berlin” on the edge of the plinth.

Die Hände locker an den Seiten, der Gesichtsausdruck neutral, steht die Figur geduldig zur Betrachtung da. Nur der leicht gehobene Fuß zeigt eine gewisse Bewegung. Durch ihre verschlankte, vereinfachte Form scheint das Mädchen die nackte Vergänglichkeit und Verwundbarkeit aller Kreaturen zu verbildlichen. Vorgesehen waren acht Exemplare dieser Bronze. Rudloff sind jedoch nur zwei bekannt, darunter diese Figur. – In sehr gutem Zustand.
