Charmante, lebhafte Darstellung eines Terriers, die durch den haptischen Effekt der Oberfläche noch an Dynamik gewinnt. Sintenis hatte eine Vorliebe für besonders lebendige Tiermotive. Allerdings suchte sie nicht, das Tier zu porträtieren, sondern in einer allgemeingültigen, generischen Form und Bewegung darzustellen. So wird die Spezies Terrier hier als verspielte, aktive Hundeart eingefangen.
In sehr gutem Zustand.
Provenienz: Erworben 1936 bei der Galerie Paul Cassirer, Berlin; seitdem in Familienbesitz.
