Description
Reizvolle Landschaftsdarstellung mit vereinzelt angeordneten Staffagegruppen und einer nachträglichen Einfassungslinie in Schwarz. In Gessners umfangreichem Oeuvre verschmelzen Literatur und Kunst zu einem untrennbaren Ganzen. Als Dichter, Radierer und Zeichner gehörte Gessner zu den erfolgreichsten Künstlern seiner Zeit. Die obere Blatthälfte etwas braunfleckig; sonst gut.
