Idyllische Szene von ausgewogenem Kolorit in dunklen Grün- und erdigen Brauntönen. Die Kratztechnik nutzte Gessner zur effektvollen Untermalung seiner Komposition, mit dem Eiweiß setzte er Glanzpunkte. Verso an drei Ecken fest im Passepartout montiert und mit Kleberesten alter Montage bzw. Bezeichnung; sonst sehr gut erhalten.
