Description
Die Zeichnung steht in Zusammenhang mit dem Gemälde “Selbstbildnis” (Lenz/Billeter 1961/10), das laut Robert Purrmann, dem Sohn des Künstlers, 1961 in Montagnola entstanden ist. Das üppige Muster der Tapete, auf der Zeichnung nur durch die Rundformen neben Purrmans Kopf angedeutet, auf dem Gemälde farb- und formenreich ausgestaltet, verrät noch in diesem hohen Alter des Künstlers den Einfluss seines Lehrers Matisse. Die rechte Blattkante außerhalb der Darstellung etwas wasserfleckig, in der linken unteren Blattecke ein kleiner Braunfleck.
