Charakteristische Zeichnung, in feinem Pinsel ausgeführt. Kobell malte ausschließlich Tier- und Schlachtenbilder, Landschaften und Porträts, deren Stil zunächst noch unter dem Einfluss der niederländischen Malerei des 17. Jahrhunderts (vor allem dem von Philips Wouwerman) stand und über den romantisierenden Klassizismus zum vollendeten Biedermeier gelangte. Mit einer Einfassung in brauner Feder. Vereinzelt leicht fleckig, ansonsten farbfrisch erhalten.
