Description
Pastos, in verhaltenen Farben gemalte, vor der Natur entstandene Studie. Die schönen Lichteffekte und der hohe Himmel vermitteln auf kleinem Raum einen Eindruck von der Weite der dargestellten Landschaft. Gietl war für seine zurückhaltenden, malerischen Stimmungslandschaften sehr geschätzt und stellte seit 1883 regelmäßig im Münchner Glaspalast und später auch in Berlin aus. Oberfläche leicht angeschmutzt, sonst in guter Originalerhaltung.
