Description
In feinem Strich ausgeführtes Bildnis in Halbfigur, Haupt in Dreiviertelprofil, in den Händen ein Buch haltend. Der Höhepunkt in des Künstlers Streben war ein Porträt von Elisabeth Auguste von der Pfalz, der Ehefrau des Kurfürsten Karl Theodor. Im Anschluss dauerte es noch bis 1781, bis Edlinger zum “königlich bayerischen Hofmaler” ernannt wurde. Als solcher bekam er bald Aufträge in Augsburg und von den Höfen in Mannheim und Stuttgart. Vereinzelt retouchiert, ansonsten in gutem Zustand.
