Description
Montézin war von Beginn seiner Laufbahn an stark von der Malweise und Thematik der Impressionisten beeinflusst. Bereits 1893 reichte er vergebens ein Bild im Salon ein, doch es sollte noch zehn Jahre dauern, bis er dort akzeptiert wurde. Bald erfreuten sich seine frischen, charmanten Landschafts- und Blumenbilder wachsender Beliebtheit. Besonders gerne stellte er – wie hier – die städtische Gesellschaft dar, wie sie sich in der Nähe von Seen und Flüssen an der Natur erfreute. Alt auf Karton aufgezogen. In guter und farbfrischer Erhaltung.
